LET US BUILD
FOR GOD

  1. COME AND LET US
    RISE UP AND BUILD
    FOR GOD
    · Nehemiah 2 v 17 & 18
v.17 “Then I said to them,
“You see the distress that we
are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are
burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of
Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.”
v.18 “And I told them of the hand of my God which had
been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he
had spoken to me. So they said,
“Let us rise up and build.
Then they set their hands to this good work.”
  2. GOD WILL ALWAYS
    REMEMBER YOUR GOOD
    DEEDS FOR THE HOUSE
    OF GOD
    · Nehemiah 13 v 14
“Remember me, O my God, concerning
this, and do not wipe out my good deeds
that I have done for the house of my God,
    and for its services”
  3. IT IS A PRIVILEGE FOR
    YOU TO GIVE FREELY TO
    BUILD FOR GOD
    · Ezra 2 v 68 – 69
v.68 “Some of the heads of the fathers’
houses, when they came to the house of the
Lord which is in Jerusalem, offered freely for
the house of God, to erect it in its place”
v.69 “According to their ability, they gave to
the treasury for the work sixty-one thousand
gold drachmas, five thousand minas of silver,
    and one hundred priestly garments”.
  4. BRING MUCH MORE
    THAN ENOUGH TO
    BUILD FOR GOD
    · Exodus 36 v 4 – 7
v.4 “Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the
work of the sanctuary came, each from the work
    he was doing”
v.5 “and they spoke to Moses, saying,
    “The people
bring much more than enough for the service of
the work which the Lord commanded us to do.”
v.6 “So Moses gave a commandment, and they
caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp,
    saying,
“Let neither man nor woman do any more
work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the
    people were restrained from bringing.
v.7 “for the material they had was sufficient for all
the work to be done—indeed too much.”
  5. GIVE WITH A
    LOYAL HEART
    · 1 Chronicles 29 v 9
    “Then the people rejoiced, for
    they had offered willingly,
because with a loyal heart they
    had offered willingly to the Lord;
    and King David also rejoiced
    greatly.
  6. LET IT BE IN YOUR
    HEART TO BUILD FOR GOD
    · 1 Kings 8 v 17
“Now it was in the heart
    of my father David to
    build a temple for the
    name of the Lord God
    of Israel.
  7. GOD IS COMMANDING
    US TO BUILD FOR HIM
    · Haggai 1 v 8
“Go up to the mountains and
    bring wood and build the
    temple, that I may take
pleasure in it and be glorified,

    says the Lord”
    · 1 Chronicles 29 v 10 – 12
    v. 10 “Therefore David blessed the Lord before
all the assembly; and David said: “Blessed are
You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and
    ever.
    v. 11 “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The
    power and the glory,
The victory and the majesty; For all that is in
heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the
kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head
    over all.
    v. 12 “Both riches and honor come from You,
And You reign over all. In Your hand is power
and might; In Your hand it is to make great
And to give strength to all.
    · These are the benefits from God
for your exploits as you build for
    the Lord:
    · Great
    · Power
    · Glory
    · Victory
    · Majesty
    · Riches
    · Honour
  8. BENEFITS FROM GOD AS YOU BUILD FOR HIM
    REASONS TO BUILD
    SOMETHING GREAT FOR
    GOD
“Give, and it will be given to you:
    good measure, pressed down,
    shaken together, and running over
will be put into your bosom. For
with the same measure that you
use, it will be measured back to
    you.

    LUKE 6 v. 38
  9. God is worthy of our best.
  10. God has done great things for us.
  11. To whom much has been given, much is
    required.
  12. When you build God’s House, God will
    build your house.
  13. Generous giving comes out of a grateful
heart and that is what touches the heart
    of God.
  14. Whatever we give to God, He gives back
to us in a good measure, pressed down,
    shaken together and running over.
  15. Giving makes us more compassionate
    and involved in God’s work.
