These are some nuggets that will open the vista of success if they are diligently and prayerfully applied.

  1. TRUST IN GOD

Jeremiah 17 v 5 – 8

”Thus saith the Lord, Cursed he the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.  For he shall be like the health in the desert, and shall parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.  Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit”.

  • Don’t ever put your trust in man
  • Man is unpredictable
  • Rely on God, God will guarantee your success
  • God may use men to help you.
  • Remember that while men may fail, God will never.
  • DONT FEAR

Proverbs 29 v 25

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe”.

  • Fear is the opposite of Faith in the school of success.
  • Fear brings failure while faith genders success.
  • If you fear to take risks, your life becomes risky.
  • Confront your past failures and make success out of them.
  • If you live in fear, it will be difficult to take bold steps that will lead to success.
  • Fear is terrible, it kills and  paralyses success principles
  • 2 Timothy 1 v 7  –  “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”.
  • Bind and cast away the Spirit of fear from your life today and begin to walk in absolute victory in Jesus precious name.
  • REJECT UNBELIEF

 Romans 4 v 20 & 21

“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded, that what he had promised, he was able also to perform”

  • You will become what you believe
  • Success comes to whoever believes in it.
  • Believing in success makes you put in all your efforts
  • Believe that God’s Grace and hard work will fetch you success.
  • Unbelief is a success killer and destroyer
  • Those who dwell in unbelief don’t exercise faith needed to succeed.
  • Get rid of unbelief and speed up the ladder of success.
  • ACQUIRE RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE

Proverbs 11 v 9

“An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour; but through knowledge shall the just be delivered”

  • Knowledge is a powerful tool that opens successful doors
  • Success is a potent product of knowledge acquired.
  • Absence of knowledge equals colossal failure.
  • Ignorance is a deadly killer, it breeds failure.
  • Update yourself in your field and achieve speedy success.
  • Your success increases as the relevant knowledge increases.
  • Requisite knowledge reduces mistakes and errors.
  • To be successful, add values to yourself.
  • Self development makes you to be in tune with global happenings.
  • In whatever you do, research into it, read books, journals, attend seminars, rub mind with colleagues, be computer literate, search for relevant information on the internet.
  • Apply knowledge gained relatively.
  • Proverbs 24 v 5 “A wise man is strong, yea, a man of knowledge increases strength”.
  • DONT BE ADDICTED TO SINS
  • John 1 v 8 & 9

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us; If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

  • You cannot succeed without God.
  • God abhors sins.
  • So do not be addicted to sins
  • Sins breed failure and destructions.
  • Traps of secret sins hold one down to the bottom.
  • Sinful lifestyle is a demoter and destroyer to every move to rise to the top.
  • Sins fertilize ground for failure.
  • Righteousness will exalt you always.
  • To enjoy success, repent of your sins, forsake them, acquire Godly life styles, take Grace to always please God.
  • Remember Proverbs 28 v 13 “He that covers his sins shall not prosper; but whoso confesses and forsakes them shall have MERCY.
  • I see you on top in Jesus name.
  • AVOID CARELESSNESS

 Isaiah 32 v 9 – 11

“Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.  Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women; for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.  Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones; strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins”

  • To succeed in life, don’t be careless with your destiny, time opportunities, spiritual life and resources.
  • Don’t share your visions/dreams anyhow.
  • Some people cannot stand your visions.  They are vision killers.
  • Incubate your dreams and visions in prayers and articulate planning.
  • A careless attitude or disposition can wreck your success in life.
  • King Saul lost his kingship destiny due to carelessness.
  • Samson, an anointed man of destiny lost his position in destiny through carelessness.
  • Many have missed the Agenda of God for their lives through Spiritual, attitudinal and sexual carelessness.
  • Watch your conducts, inter personal relationship, bridle your tongue, think twice before taking major steps, do a proper physical and spiritual background check up before engaging in relationship and business.  Remember that not all that glitters is Good.  Only those who are careful are candidates of success.
  • DO NOT PROCRASTINATE

 Ecclesiastes 9 v 10

“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest”

  • There is time for everything under the sun.
  • Time waits for no man at all
  • Make use of every opportunity that comes your way.
  • Procrastination is postponing what you should do now.
  • It is the thief of time and season.
  • To procrastinate is to exit the School of Success.
  • With the Lord on your side, make the best use of the little opportunity you have now.  Don’t  neglect it.  As you succeed, more will come.
  • STOP  GIVING EXCUSES

 Luke 19 v 20 & 21

“And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.”

  • Excuse givers are failures in the school of Success.
  • When you are spending time complaining about the obstacles  you are facing, you are wasting so much valuable time.
  • Those giving excuses cannot achieve success.
  • Stop giving excuses for wrong doings. Take responsibility and move forward.
  • The excuses you give for your failure can never fetch you success.
  • Giving excuses does not make you think of solutions for success.
  • You must put behind you your inability and believe you can start something better today.
  • Those giving excuses have grasshopper mentality.
  • Caleb and Joshua refused to join the other ten spies in giving excuses and they succeeded in possessing the land. Joshua 13; Numbers 13 v 30.
  • Giving excuses is tantamount to burying your talents.
  • Moses gave an excuse of being a stammarer, God did not accept.
  • Gideon gave an excuse for coming from a poor family, God did not accept.
  • When the devil gives you reasons for failure, don’t accept.
  • Stop bothering yourself about what you cannot do. Start working on what you have the capability to do. There is a treasure in you.
  • HAVE THE RIGHT MENTALITY

Prov. 23 v 7

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”

  • Your mentality is your belief system, your idea line, your way of reasoning, thinking and perception. It is your state of mind.
  • It is either POSITIVE or NEGATIVE.
  • Success comes from the right mentality while failure emanates from negative mentality.
  • Right mentality makes you see things from the positive point of view.
  • Success comes when you are optimistic and always seeing goodness and prospects in everything.
  • Reject NEGATIVE mentality, EVIL mentality, AVERAGE mentality, LUKEWARM mentality, PROCASTINATING mentality, DOUBTING mentality, INDECISIVE mentality, and OLD-AGE mentality. e.t.c.
  1. YOU MUST NOT BE LAZY

 Prov. 12 v 24

“The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.”

  • Only hard working people have future in the school of success.
  • A lazy person is a big failure in the making.
  • No matter the extent of your grace, natural talents/abilities, anointing, without hard work, you will not excel, if you are lazy.
  • There is no substitute for hard work.
  • Laziness is a success killer, potential waster and poverty activator.
  • To be at the zenith of success, work and pray hard.
  1. YOU MUST BE FOCUSED

 Luke 9 v 62

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

  • Be careful in choosing your friends.
  • Your friends can either make or destroy you.
  • If you associate with the wrong people, you will not succeed in life.
  • Remember that not everyone around you believes in your vision.
  • Don’t slaughter your success in life on the slab of wrong company.
  • Friendship is by choice and not by force.
  • For an outstanding success in your pursuit, you need to associate with those with similar vision/focus.
  • Certainly, you need people just as they will need you but you must prayerfully choose your friends.
  • Proverbs 22 v 24 – 25. “Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.”
  • May you not befriend destiny reducers in Jesus precious name.
  • Allow God choose for you. The heart of man is deep.
  1. TAKE CORRECTION
  2. Tim. 3 v 16

“But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”

  • To remain of the track of success, you need to be corrected when things go wrong.
  • If you hate to be corrected, you will remain in errors.
  • Correction protects your vision, ambition and life.
  • Wise hearted people take correction while the fools despise it.
  • It is better to be corrected now than to be left alone wallowing in errors.
  • Never you see the person correcting you as your enemies.
  • Corrections are not always sweet. But take grace to swallow the bitter pills.
  • Don’t go to the wrong people for corrections. Sometimes going to your mates or peers for corrections may not augur well because you are at the same level of perception. Visit those above you in that area.
  • Prov. 17 v 10. “A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.”
  • Remember that correction will bring you back to track as you journey to success.
  1. YOU NEED GOD’S GUIDANCE

Psalm  32 v 8

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go; I will guide thee with mine eye.”

  • He knows your beginning and the end.
  • Nothing about you is hidden from God.
  • Proverbs 20 v 24 “Man’s goings are of the Lord; how can a man then understand his own way?”
  • God can only help you succeed when you open your heart to his leading and guidance.
  • What ordinarily looks good to the physical eyes may not be God’s choice.
  • Since the spiritual controls the Physical, the onus lies on you to ask God for directions.
  • Remember that you are a sheep that needs the shepherd always.
  • To ask for directions, pray with the following biblical passages.  Jeremiah 33 v 3; Psalm 32 v 8; Psalm 25 v 12 & 14; Isaiah 30 v 21; Luke 1 v 79; Isaiah 48 v 17; Psalm 48 v 14; John 16 v 13; Romans 8 v 14.

    • What do I want?
    • Where can I do it?
    • How can I?
    • Who do I talk to?
