EXHORTATION:

                            YOUR VANTAGE POSITION IN CHRIST

Galatians 4:9

But now after that you have known God, or rather are known of God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?

Every man or woman born of God has an access to the eternal and perfect liberty won for us through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. Knowing who you are in Christ, having the full assurance that you “are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that you should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10), is enough for you to stand against anything—any power, any situation, any gang-up resisting you, oppressing you, making a mess of your life, sponsoring reproaches, satanic delays and mockery in your life. The choice is yours, but according to our opening Scripture, you have the supreme choice not to be entangled with any bondage. Why? Because you have known God and are known by Him.

But many children of God, genuinely born again children of God, are still being weighed down with all manner of problems that should not otherwise be found or seen in our midst. It is all because they are neither conscious nor walking in their new creation realities. It is because they don’t know that for every problem or challenge a child of God faces, there is a settled Calvary solution. The devil has no right over your life—unless you give him room by being ignorant of your divine rights.

I have come to the conclusion that until you make or operate by Scriptural moves on the platform of righteousness and violent faith, God will not be moved to turn things around for you. Many of us are simply not ready to operate our spiritual weapons. We want things to work out “magically.”  But I’m sorry, it just doesn’t work that way! God has His principles clearly marked out and they can’t be manipulated!

We must wake up and understand that we are WARRIORS of righteousness (Ephesians 6:10-18; 1Timothy 6:12a). A hunter determined to make a good catch doesn’t fear or get frightened by the jungle. So, if, as a child of God, you haven’t yet caught a revelation of who you are in Christ and your position in Him, please do so without any further delay. Then take your stand and fight the good fight of faith.

Ephesians 2:19, 13-14

19Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God… 13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14For He is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.

Hallelujah!!!

A man who is the firstborn of a king doesn’t lack—as long as he knows his position as the heir apparent, obeys the father’s instructions and discharges his duties with diligence. And so are you as a born again child of the Living God. You are an original copy of the Creator God of the universe, born of Him, of His Spirit. He is in you. His very breath is in you. His life, Zoë, is in you. You are not an ordinary human being anymore. Heaven summoned a very solemn divine meeting to deliberate over your exploits on earth eons before you were conceived and brought forth. O my God! I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal these things to you—who you are Christ, who God says you are, who you are in the Spirit to you.

1 Peter 2:9-10

9But you are a CHOSEN GENERATION, a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, a HOLY NATION, HIS OWN SPECIAL PEOPLE, that you proclaim the praises of Him who called you OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy [emphasis added].

Yes, that’s who you are, what God says you are in union with Christ. So why then are you being battered and tortured, harried and harassed? Isn’t it time to boldly confront that problem and say, “Enough is enough!”? You see, I have discovered for myself the spiritual arsenal I possess in Christ to defeat and overcome any situation. Hallelujah! But what about you? It is time to let the devil know that you are not alone for, in Christ, you have been made one with God.

Ephesians 2:6

And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places IN CHRIST JESUS [emphasis added]

.

Beloved, it is time to move forward like a determined, fierce, hungry lion; for he is ready to devour any animal or being that comes his way.

Know for a fact that you were not born with the problem(s) you are facing now; and every problem has an expiry date. And no problem is greater than God! As an overcomer in Christ, no problem is permitted to swallow you up. Remember 1 Corinthians 10:13: “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but GOD IS FAITHFUL, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but WITH THE TEMPTATION WILL ALSO MAKE THE WAY TO ESCAPE, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO BEAR IT” [emphasis added].

Remember too that your case will not be the first or the last. So what are you waiting for? Why don’t you arise now, bearing in mind that YOU MUST ARISE FROM EGYPT, CONTEND IN THE WILDERNESS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT YOUR CANAAN?

So go ahead in that spirit and say this out loud and clear:

By my God, I shall overcome and subdue all the nations and kingdoms rising up against my destiny, in the name of Jesus. Enough is enough!

Beloved, at this juncture, I want you to meditate and confess the following Scriptures to be fully convinced and assured that the current battle will expire:

  1. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down of strongholds, 5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

  1. Romans 8:1-2

1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,

who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

  1. Romans 8:21

Because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into THE GLORIOUS LIBERTY of the children of God (emphasis added).

  1. Psalm 16:8

I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

  1. Psalm 17:13

Arise, O LORD, confront him, cast him down; deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword.

  1. Psalm 18:29

For by You I can run against a troop, by my God I can leap over a wall.

  1. Psalm 18:19

He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.

  1. Isaiah 50:7-9

7For the Lord GOD will help Me; therefore I will not be disgraced; therefore

I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. 8He is near who justifies Me; who will contend with Me? Let us stand together. Who is My adversary? Let him come near Me. 9Surely the Lord GOD will help Me; who is he who will condemn Me? Indeed they will grow old like a garment; the moth will eat them up.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Every man born of a woman expressly desires to live well and enjoy his God-ordained freedom. It is an established fact that the storms of life will buffet everyone—no matter how highly anointed, no matter your academic attainments (Job 5:7; 14:1). It doesn’t matter whether you are tall or short, white or black, fat or thin.  Even the unborn children will meet their own fair share when they arrive this world of time and space. That is life for you! The storms of life don’t announce when they will come. Some experience them horribly in their morning time, some in the noon and some others in the night time of life.

The storm of life is one rude and undesirable visitor that must visit every man as we climb the ladder of life. That’s why you need Christ to see you through. But Un,fortuna’ely some have been destroyed, maimed, crippled or amputated by the storms of life. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ we shall overcome.

Psalm 18:29

For by You I can run against a troop, by my God I can leap over a wall.

Now, let’s consider some cases.

  1. Israel’s Suffering in Egypt

Exodus 1:13-14

13So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve WITH RIGOUR. 14And they made their lives BITTER WITH HARD BONDAGE… [emphasis added].

This affliction lasted four hundred and thirty years in the house of bondage. When the   pains of the slavery and oppression became unbearable, the people cried out: “Enough is enough!” The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob God heard their cry and came to their rescue.

Exodus 2:23

Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, AND THEY CRIED, AND THEIR CRY CAME UP TO GOD BECAUSE OF THE BONDAGE [emphasis added].

Now permit me to ask you some soul-searching questions:

  • What are you passing through now?
  • How long have you been in this problem?
  • Are you enjoying sleeping and waking with it?
  • Do you want to stay any longer in the house of bondage?
  • Do you love the chains holding you down?
  • Do you know that you have a role to play?

If you answered “No” to these questions, then you must cry out today that enough is enough, and God will shine the light of His countenance upon you for total deliverance. Exodus 2:24 says, “So GOD HEARD THEIR GROANING, AND GOD REMEMBERED HIS COVENANT…” [emphasis added]. Until you are tired of that adverse situation and seek help from the Almighty, it will get more and more elongated until it becomes cancerous. So resolve today to take your case to God in serious warfare in order that you may come out of that house of bondage into your glorious Canaan.

I know that your case cannot be 430 years old yet! And if God could make a 430-year-old slavery history, He it is a small thing with Him to turn that which you are currently passing through to GREAT HISTORY tomorrow. Remember that without your present challenge there wouldn’t be testimonies for you to tell.

Now pray this prayer:

O Lord, turn my present problems into mighty testimonies, in Jesus’ name.

  1. Israel’s Harlotry in Moab

In Numbers 25, the people of Israel had offended God by committing immorality. They were crying unto Him before the door of the tabernacle because the fierce anger of the Lord was upon them. In the midst of the repentance, an Israelite, Zimri by name, fueled the calamity by importing a Midianite, Cozbi, into the camp—further aggravating God’s anger. To relieve them of the punishment, a man called Phinehas rose up with the enough is enough spirit, took his javelin and thrust both of them through! The Bible says in v.8b, “So the plague was stopped among the children of Israel.” And God blessed Phinehas and his generation.

Listen, beloved, whatever has been programmed to destroy your life shall not prosper in Jesus’ name. What you are passing through may warrant you stirring up yourself into an unusual prophetic action which you have never taken before. This is the time your sword must touch blood in the spirit realm! The year is running out again and the problem is causing you much havoc, indeed too much havoc. You must seek the face of God today. Perhaps you have to:

  • Increase your Word level.
  • Go for a retreat.
  • Embark on prayer and fasting.
  • Change your service tempo in the vineyard of the Lord.
  • Give and sow more than ever before.

So rise up like a man of war and take your faith javelin in your hand to spear to death the powers behind your problem.

Pray these prayers:

  1. Any power aggravating my problems, be destroyed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
  2. O Lord, minister to me the strategies that will facilitate a solution to my problems, in the

name of Jesus.

  • Empower me, O Lord, to confront and conquer, in the name of Jesus.

Do you see now, beloved, why you must get out of your comfort zone now and fight a good warfare? You have simply had enough! Yes, people have been describing you with your problems. But a hunter is never intimidated by the thickness of the jungle. Rise up with a renewed fighting spirit and halt that problem from further operations in your life. Enough is enough!

  1. The Prodigal Son

In Luke 15:11-32, the prodigal son took his portion of inheritance from his father, journeyed to a far country and wasted his substance on RIOTOUS LIVING. We see in v.14 that when he had spent it all and there was famine, he began to want. We read in vv. 17-18: “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before you.’ ”
